Data Retention Policy
We will retain User provided data for as long as you use the Application(s) and for a reasonable time thereafter. We will retain Automatically Collected information for up to 24 months and thereafter may store it in aggregate. If you’d like us to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application(s), please contact us at admin@highwatermark.school and we will respond in a reasonable time. Please note that some or all of the User Provided Data may be required in order for the Application(s) to function properly.

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. Primary School Policy
Dear Parents,
We appreciate your love and believe in our school’s vision… utilising best practices in education, in partnership with parents, to motivate children to learn and be a global standard in their adult life. The following are the procedures we shall be working with for mutual benefits of both parties:
Payment of School Fees
We encourage prompt payment of all fees, at least 70% upfront for School fee before resumption for budgeting.
School has the prerogative to send pupils back home for defaulting in payment.
Provide adequate learning materials for pupils/wards
Relationship with Staffs
Be fair and courteous to all school employees.
Always note your observations using the daily activity book; otherwise you may approach the school leadership.
You are not permitted to have altercation with any member of the school, always report any matter to school leadership.
Dress Code
Neatly dressed in school uniform.
Sport wears on sport days (every Wednesday).
Black shoe – rubber sole and covered toe
Ensure adequate hygiene and proper conduct of their pupils/wards before bringing them to the school.
Meetings
Attend and participate in PTA meetings and other functions as it may from time to time organised by the school.
You are responsible for the dropping off and picking up of their children/wards from the school except where otherwise stated or agreed by the school authority.
School Bus
BE COURTEOUS TO THE SCHOOL BUS DRIVER(S) AND OBEY THEIR INSTRUCTIONS AT ALL TIME
Be ready or be at the bus stop 10 minutes before the pick-up time.
The school is not in obligation to pick up your children/wards whenever the conditions are beyond control. Conditions like but not limited to fuel scarcity, bad roads and so on.
The school reserves the prerogative to increase fee in case of hike in fuel price.
School Meals
School provides lunch for pupils daily, and it is optional. The menu is published each term on Parents Whatapp group and the timetable is strictly adhered to.

Opening and Closing of School
Opening Hour: School gate opens for car drop off between 7:00am and closes 8:00am. You are to use pedestrian gate to bring your children/wards into the school premises outside these periods.
Closing Hour: The school opens her gate 2:55pm for pupils that do not enroll for extra-curriculum activities. Pupils engage in clubs close by 4:00pm.
For parents interested for extension service, discuss with school leadership.
Clubs
The following clubs are run for all round child development with extra fees. Please note that, it is optional. These are; music, coding, STEM, and cooking.
We believe children learn best within the context of a home-school relationship built on trust and open and honest dialogue. Key messages in terms of the expectations of this relationship are captured in our Home School Agreement which we ask all parents to sign at the outset of their relationship with our school.
Clubs and Curriculum enrichment activities
The school clubs and activities are available throughout the year. We work hard to respond to the children’s interests and offer opportunities to try new activities and develop new skills. We look to vary the range of clubs which include a variety of sports activities including football, netball, athletics, badminton and gymnastics, as well as foreign language clubs, dance clubs of different kinds and art and craft clubs. There is something for everyone! We welcome ideas and input from parents and other members of the community and are looking to make links with outside providers and sports clubs to help us ‘talent’ spot our future stars.
Currently we offer Music and Scratch computing programs. These club activities are optional.

SCHOOL RULES
A caring, orderly and safe school is the foundation for a successful learning environment. In High-Water Mark School, pupil good behaviour and discipline are key foundations for good education.
Behaviour and Good Manners
- Pupils must observe high standards of courtesy, consideration and good manners in public places and in school.
- All pupils must show respect to peers, teachers, and other adults and make visitors to the school welcome at all times.
- Please, Sorry and Thank you are simple courtesies, which should be used in and out of school.
- Pupils should open doors for adults and allow adults to go through a doorway first.
- Pupils must maintain quiet and orderly behaviour in school corridors.
- Pupils must be punctual for each class and Assembly and other school events. Those who are late must volunteer an apology and an explanation.
- Pupils who wish to be absent for any foreseeable reason must bring, well in advance, a written request from their parents giving the specific reason for the anticipated absence.
- Pupils who have been absent must immediately on their return bring a letter to their teacher from their parents giving a clear explanation.
- Fighting and any form of bullying are forbidden at all times.
- Pupils must not use offensive language.
- Pupils must behave properly when in school uniform.
- Teachers have the right, given adequate reasons, to refuse permission to a pupil to take part in a school trip and/or to send a pupil home from a school trip.
- Acceptable eating habits are required in the canteen and pupils must clear up properly after their meal.
Safety and Security
- Pupils must obey all rules on safety.
- Pupils must not interfere with fire extinguishers.
- Pupils must follow strictly and promptly the instructions for emergency evacuation.
- Pupils must obey to the letter the instructions of their teachers in practical subjects, PE and games.
- Pupils must summon a teacher immediately when another pupil is injured.
- Pupils must report any safety hazard to their teacher during school hours.
- Pupils must not leave the school premises except with the permission of their teacher, or senior member of staff. Pupils who are ill must report to their class teacher.
- Pupils are not allowed into classrooms except with the permission of a teacher and must wait in single file outside the classroom.
- The Assembly Hall is to be used only under the supervision of a teacher.
- Pupils are not allowed to bring to school dangerous items, such as knives or laser pens, or items of value, such as personal stereos, computer games or mobile phones, that are not required for school work or activities.
- The owner’s name should be marked clearly on books, bags, all articles of clothing, footwear and sports equipment.
- Money and articles of value should be kept personally or placed in the care of a teacher; such items should not be left in cloakrooms or school bags.
- For the safety of all pupils, parents bringing children to school after 8:00am by car are requested to drop off children outside the school gates.
- Pupils must not run or slide in the corridors.
- In corridors pupils must walk on the left, carry their school bags on the right and keep their hands off the walls.
- Pupils must not loiter in the corridors.
- Fire doors and outer doors must be kept shut.
- Pupils must not interfere with electrical appliances.
- Pupils must not play around in classrooms (during break, lunchtime) in such a way as to cause damage to furniture, windows or equipment or to cause injury to themselves or other pupils.
- Pupils must not push or shove in the dinner hall.
- Pupils must not climb fences to retrieve footballs or any other object.
- Pupils must not climb trees or swing out of their branches.
School Property, Personal Property and the Property of Others
- Pupils are expected to keep the school buildings and grounds free of litter.
- The chewing of gum is forbidden in school.
- To assist the cleaners, chairs must be turned upside down and put on tables at the end of the day.
- Damage to school property should be reported to the class teacher. Repair of damage and removal of graffiti must be paid for by the perpetrator.
- Pupils are expected to take good care of their textbooks.
Uniform and Personal Appearance
- Pupils are asked to observe the school regulations with regard to school uniform and personal appearance.
- Pupils are expected to take pride in their uniform and personal appearance.
- School uniform should be worn correctly and tidily (e.g. shirts and blouses tucked in; top button on shirt or blouse fastened; ties properly tied).
- Shoes not boots must be worn. Shoes that mark school floors are not permitted.
- All hair styles should be tidy and unobtrusive. Coloured highlights are not permitted.
- No jewellery may be worn. If earrings that can jeopardise pupil safety are worn, the child will be required NOT to go into the play areas nor participate in PE lessons.
- Only school badges may be worn.
- Full and proper kit is required for PE and Games.
- Nail varnish is not permitted.
Teachers will explain these rules to their classes annually and display the rules in the Classroom.
PUPILS ENTER THE SCHOOL ON THE UNDERSTANDING THAT THEY KNOW AND WILL OBEY THESE RULES. BREACHES OF THESE RULES WILL BE PUNISHED ON AN ASCENDING SCALE OF PUNISHMENT. PARENTS ARE EXPECTED TO GIVE THEIR CO-OPERATION AND SUPPORT IN THE ENFORCEMENT OF THE RULES AND OF DISCIPLINE IN GENERAL.
Complaints and Concerns
We Invite Your Participation
Many opportunities are available for parents to be involved in education at High-Water Mark School.
Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
All parents and guardians are entitled to belong and participate in the school PTA. We encourage you to attend PTA meetings and contribute to the discussion. Meeting dates are announced in school newsletters.
Raising a concern as a parent or pupil
The School recognises that from time to time pupils or parents (or guardians) may have concerns regarding the operation of the School. Pupil or parent (or guardian) complaints concerning schools, personnel, programs or procedures will be dealt with in a fair, respectful and timely way.
Teacher or Other Employee
The best place to solve a problem is at the source. Speak to the teacher. If complaint not resolved, escalate to Head Teacher, Proprietor and Chairman.
Head Teacher or designee
An important part of the work of a school head teacher or designee is to attempt to resolve concerns raised by parents or pupils.
Uniform
We encourage our children to take a pride in their appearance. To this end all pupils are expected to wear the prescribed school uniform, as we believe this is an important element in helping to develop a sense of belonging to High-Water Mark School. We ask parents to support us in this policy by ensuring that children are sent to school correctly dressed.

Book bag
Please ensure that all items of clothing are clearly marked with your child’s name.
Hair
ALL children with shoulder-length or longer hair must have it completely tied back; hair should not be worn in a half-up-half-down style.
Hair bands should be small and plain in the neutral colours of white, black, brown, beige and blue only.
Decorative and large accessories such as bows and long ribbons are not appropriate for school as they serve no functional purpose.
Short hair should be uniform in length i.e. not shaved in one part and excessively long elsewhere.
Extreme hair styles are not permitted in school; this includes patterns cut into hair e.g. tram lines, excessive use of hair products e.g. gel and the use of hair dye in non-natural colours or bleach.
